Photography and words from a hidden world.

Parisian Rooftopping

Location: Paris, France
Status: Active
Date: March 2008

A selection of photos from Paris rooftops. Rooftopping is self explanatory, so I'll save you the drawn out narrative and let the pictures do the talking.

AXA tower

Every sound is amplified and distorted into the most evil and dangerous things, my over alert mind does not seem to be helping in this situation... Fourty stories and the view is incredible, but I'm only half way there...

South-East from AXA

I was tormented for a month by this building, for a moment there I thought it was going to beat me. The AXA tower was once the tallest in Europe, now completly vacated and undergoing major refurbishment it was an opportunity to good to miss. From left to right in above photo, Arc De Triomphe, Champs Elysees, Tour Montparnasse, Tour Eiffel.

North-West from Jussieu

Probably the best view in Paris. From left to right in above photo, The Pantheon, me, Thermes De Cluny, Tour Eiffel, Dirge, Notre Dame, Sacre Coeur.

St Sulpice

Generally the actual roof is not the interesting thing when rooftopping, but St Sulpice is an exception, at almost 400 years old that is no real suprise.

St Sulpice

If you don't mind an icy roof and a six story drop-off it is a top place to chill out.

West From The Pantheon

Paris 5th

The best thing about rooftopping in Paris is that there is no shortage of rooftops.

South

City of lights.

Parisian Tourism with a difference.
